Austin Anderson was raised on a farm in Southern Illinois, near Paducah, Kentucky. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, Austin attended law school at the University of Kentucky College of Law. While in law school, Austin was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal’s editorial board where he served as a production editor. His student note was also selected for publication in the online division of the Kentucky Law Journal.
Prior to joining Green Chesnut & Hughes, Austin worked as a law clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office for Kentucky’s Eastern District, focusing on defending the United States in civil cases. Austin also previously worked at other regional insurance defense firms before joining Green Chesnut & Hughes as an associate attorney in 2019.
Austin is admitted to practice in all Kentucky Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Austin has litigation experience in multiple areas, including significant experience in claims relating to premises liability, wrongful death, construction defects, products liability, federal employment law, insurance coverage, and automobile accidents. Austin regularly participates in mediation and has won dismissals on behalf of his clients.
