Elizabeth S. Hughes


Elizabeth has extensive litigation experience. Over the course of her career, she has appeared in all the federal district courts in Kentucky, numerous Kentucky circuit, family and district courts, as well as in administrative forums; she has defended and prosecuted appeals to the Kentucky Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Elizabeth’s litigation and appellate practice focuses primarily on criminal defense, family law, employment law and business disputes. Her clients include corporations, small businesses and individuals. She regularly participates in mediation to resolve civil and family law cases and is a strong advocate for her clients in all types of matters, both in and out of the courtroom.

Elizabeth has a diverse practice, which allows her to give advice and develop strategies with a more-informed perspective, particularly when coupled with her many years of trial work in these areas.
